Blazer, Mock Turtle & Cream Slip (worn as top): Thrift I Jeans: NY&C I Boots: DSW
Guess who's about to have a fantastically clichéd weekend away with guy and friends in upstate New York?! Thats right! As soon as 6pm hits, I’m busting outta work and heading off to sled in a million feet of snow while drinking hot toddies. Yeup! I’ve got my travel thermos right here.
I woke up this morning so excited for our weekend adventure that I decided to throw together a “country” inspired look. The Houndstooth blazer was the perfect base. I had originally wanted to go with a vintage inspired look - complete with a full A-line skirt, pumps and this fur scarf, but thought stomping through mounds of snow in a skirt might only feel good for the first 5 minutes. So, I kept the fur but traded the skirt for jeans and went mountain man-chic with it. I also threw on this cream slip as a top. I'm loving the lace detail around the hem. So pretty!
Don't know about you, but I’m a SUCKER for a small town in the winter.
